(1925 – 2007)

At 4.00am on the 20th of December 2007, Big George's Mother "Sadie" died of a heart attack at Home.

Sadie's funeral was held on Friday 28th December 2007

She was a legend in the music scene in Glasgow and known to Musicians all over the world. Well known by many Roadies, Promoters, Music shop staff as well as Musicians and a regular at Big George gigs, wherever he played she was always there, even when she was in her late 70's she would still turn out to see her son play.

All of the band were shattered when they heard of her death.

A Powerful and Compassionate woman, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Before she died she told George "You better make sure you play that gig on Saturday night" ! So we did !

The gig was dedicated to the memory of Sadie Watt, A Legend.

Unfortunately 2 months after George's Mother died, His Father Jimmy Died on the 20th February, also of a Heart Attack.
